songwriting team Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff with our 2011 Lifetime Achievement Award!
Gamble and Huff wrote and produced some of the biggest pop, soul and R&B songs of all time. They are the creators of “The Sound of Philadelphia” (TSOP), made famous worldwide on their dozens of gold and platinum records. Gamble and Huff have worked with the Jacksons, Patti LaBelle, Lou Rawls, the O’Jays, Billy Paul, Teddy Pendergrass and many, many others on classic hits such as “Love Train,” “Expressway to Your Heart,” the Grammy winning “If You Don't Know Me By Now” and “Me and Mrs. Jones,” and more.
